Responsibilities for the Software Tester.
-Review product and system functional requirements and provide feedback;
-Identify, define and maintain the test design specification, monitor test coverage and evaluate the overall quality while testing;
-Identify test data requirements; create and manage test data effectively;
-Execute test scripts;
-Identify, analyse, and document all defects (software and documentation issues) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications;
-Document and validate resolution of identified issues;
-Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results on all assigned projects, including outstanding defects and test status;
-Assist in evaluating product and application defects reported by customers and make recommendations for their correction;
-Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies;
-Escalate test (quality) risks to project manager with mitigation activities / contingencies, where possible;
-Responsible for preparing test report;
-Assist in defect management;
-Assist in providing test estimations;
-Follows the target operating model and applicable project specific tailoring guidelines.
Skills & Knowledge Software Tester.
-University education and degree (preferable IT related);
-Approximately 2 years’ experience as a Test Engineer or Test Analyst;
-Knowledge of testing methodologies and practices;
-Knowledge of SDLC methodology;
-Very good verbal and written skills in English;
-Strong analytical skills;
-Good understanding MS Office applications, especially Excel;
-Attention to detail and good problem solving skills;
-Knowledge of defect management tool preferably JIRA;
-Strong ability to communicate with team members across all disciplines.
Desirables for the Software Tester.
-Knowledge in financial domain.
-Knowledge on database tools.
-ISEB/ISTQB Foundation of Software Testing certified.
-Approximately 2 years’ experience with Quality Center and/or equivalent tool.
