Marketing Intern, Amsterdam Area

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our global contact lenses category in the headquarter in Schiphol, where product and marketing work closely together to deliver the best customer experience cross channels. As a marketing intern within the organization you will be supporting the marketing department, by supporting the daily running activities and providing creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will collaborate closely with our contact lenses Marketing “team”in all stages of the creation of marketing materials that will be addressed to our worldwide stores as an offline channel, taking care especially of communication agencies and creating some final artworks. You will also take care of updating our brand presentation & guidelines and the marketing masterdata. On top of this you will be focused on the online channel by monitoring our contact lenses website and social platforms and driving them impactfully on the web both content and analytics wise.

Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing content strategy and create more valuable deliverables at category level. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies, but also a strong analytical attitude which makes this role very exciting and complete. Your main role is to support on the operational daily tasks, support on the creation of the main marketing assets like brand presentation & guidelines with a clinical precision and attention to details. This will improve the quality of deliverables and will be very helpful to use more time on the creative & strategic part. Focus on our online presence ( together with the digital team to ensure the execution of the website will be successful and also support building our online presence, always looking for improvements.

Contact Lens Concept & Brand Content Manager

Main purpose of the role

Concept & brand content

  • Support in daily administrative tasks:
  • Archive marketing materials (gathering from suppliers, category playbook, product benefits book) and deploying to the markets via Sharepoint
  • Update data & information consolidation (marketing calendar, projects timeline, presentations, budget) & information gathering with different countries (OpCo’s)
  • Share & deploy materials & information through Mediacenter (incl marketing masterdata) & Sharepoint with countries (gathering materials for marketing best practices, newsletter)
  • Managing supplier requests (packaging layouts review & approval, marketing materials, packshot samples, etc)
  • Packshot coordination with photographer (incl tracker, sample availability, review & comment, manage saving location)
  • Strong knowledge on digital analytics platforms: create dashboards and reports, based on KPI’s (through SEO analysis, Google Analytics, AdWords & social media platforms)
  • Taking care of our Contact Lenses Exclusive Brand website and our future social media platform: uploading & updating contents, generating new idea to create impact, constantly maintaining it for leverage our online presence and implementing SEO to achieve better position in SERP’s
  • Ability to create engaging contents & storytelling (brand presentation & brand guidelines, copywriting in English, mainly for online)
  • Assist on the daily back and forth with main agencies, with clear and precise debrief (on running projects), the attention to details is key

Ongoing & project specific operational support

  • Deliver a specific project aimed at improving the CL category visibility across GrandVision. To be jointly defined with your manager in the first month of working.
  • Requests towards & communication with supplier supporting teams: product technical data, marketing assets & imagery, samples
  • Consolidate, constant status tracking, follow ups on missing, integrate information into standardized formats
  • Maintenance & update of contact list (both OpCo and supplier lists)
  • Newsletter – coordinate, input on subjects, support on building best practice comms, consolidate, formatting and send out
  • Sharepoint team – site ownership of CM/OpCo site, manage site permissions, ensure clear structure is maintained on team site

Required qualifications/level of education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertisement or Business Management
  • EU or EEA citizenship and being registered residents of the Netherlands
  • Be enrolled at a Dutch university

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)

  • Experience with digital marketing is a must (SEO, Analytics, AdWords and social media)

  • Good communication skill
